Graduate Intern for Deep Learning in Protein Design

We are seeking a motivated individual for a Graduate Intern for Deep Learning in Protein Design that will aim to tackle the challenges of protein engineering. The candidate ideally should have experience in applying deep learning (DL) techniques on biological problems preferably adjacent to or of protein engineering. The intern will be able to hone their skills of programming, deep learning and protein engineering while contributing significantly to Manus’ efforts to enable industrial level efficiency in natural enzymes for producing more sustainable BioAlternative products.

Preferred qualifications:
· Familiarity with protein engineering (eg. Directed evolution, ML/AI-led)
· Familiarity with protein language models and similar transformer-based models
· Familiarity with benchmarking techniques and public datasets for protein sequence to function relationship
· Experience in industrial biotechnology or a related industry
