Manus is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant who will be responsible for recording, analyzing, and reporting the company’s financial activities while ensuring accurate accounting for production-related costs, inventory, and financial performance. Key Responsibilities
- Apply a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP across fixed assets, inventory, accruals, lease accounting, and investments.
- Financial Data Management: Collect and monitor financial data, prepare internal statements (balance sheets and income statements), and support forecasting of cash, costs, and revenues.
- Asset Management: Own the Construction in Progress (CIP) and Fixed Asset Tracking process, including recording newly acquired assets (tangible and intangible), tracking existing assets, maintain a roll forward and accounting for disposals. Partner with the engineering team to maintain a comprehensive asset inventory, and manage leases, right-of-use assets, and related liabilities.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial trends and prepare annual financial statements and accompanying notes.
- Month-End Close and Intercompany Transactions: Manage assigned month-end close activities and process intercompany elimination entries to ensure an accurate and timely close.
- Recommendations and Compliance: Develop and present recommendations to improve accounting practices and procedures, and keep management informed of the company’s compliance standing.
- Cost Management: Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities. Responsibilities include reconciling across multi-layer ledgers and maintaining General Ledger (GL) accounts, cost centers, functional areas, and profit centers.
- External Audits: Prepare external audit work papers and memoranda, evaluate internal controls, policies, and procedures for effectiveness, and conduct detailed risk analyses to identify potential gaps.
- Annual Tax and Fees Management: Contribute to managing annual tax filings, registration, fees, and dues to ensure timely submissions, accurate recordkeeping, and on-time payments.
- Provide monthly purchase card management support to the Accounts Payable Accountant.
- Advance the adoption of AI and automation tools to streamline accounting processes, accelerate financial close, and improve asset tracking.
- Additional Duties: Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned, including monitoring and reporting on financial discrepancies.
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of work experience performing U.S. GAAP accounting.
- Strong understanding of Fixed Asset accounting, including Assets under Construction (AUC).
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, or other relevant large language models (LLMs).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong time management, professional conduct, and adaptability to change.
- Ability to interact effectively with co-workers, vendors, contractors, and other business contacts.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, file optimization, and sophisticated data tables.
- Proficiency in accounting software SAP Business by Design.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Masters in Accountancy, or MBA

- Work is performed in an office environment within an industrial environment.
- Employees are required to follow safety standards and wear personal protective equipment in designated areas.
- The position requires regular walking, standing, using hands and fingers, gripping, handling or feeling, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, talking, and hearing. The ability to lift and carry 10 lbs. regularly is required.
