Project Technician - Scaffold Builder

We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Scaffold Builder to join our team. The Scaffold Builder will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, and dismantling scaffolding structures used on construction sites, industrial facilities, or other elevated work environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety protocols and experience working at heights.

Responsibilities:

  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding systems according to blueprints, drawings, and site requirements.
  • Inspect scaffolding materials and structures for safety and stability.
  • Secure scaffolding to buildings or structures using clamps, ties, and braces.
  • Load and unload scaffolding materials and transport them to job sites.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Communicate with supervisors and other crew members to coordinate tasks.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Identify and report any hazards or unsafe conditions on the job site.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience as a scaffold builder or in a similar construction role.
  • Knowledge of scaffolding systems (e.g., tube and coupler, system scaffolds, frame scaffolds).
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and safety guidelines.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Strong physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials.
  • Certification in scaffold erection (e.g., OSHA, CISRS, or equivalent) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Forklift or aerial lift certification is an advantage.

Working Conditions:

  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Exposure to heights, dust, and construction noise.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
  • May require overtime or weekend work depending on project needs.
